TSC introduces high-speed label cutter for TTP-2410M Series industrial label printers

TSC has expanded its product line once again with the introduction of an affordable high-speed label cutter that is designed to print and cut garment-industry customer-care labels at a high rate of speed.

The new TSC Care Label Cutter, which is designed for use with TSC’s TTP-2410M Series of industrial-class label printer, is capable of cutting 1-inch-wide (25.4mm) to 2.76-inch-wide (70mm) textile garment labels such as cloth, ribbon, paper, polyester and nylon tape materials up to 0.1 mm of thickness. The minimum label length can be as short as 0.39 inch (10mm), while the maximum length varies depending on which TTP-2410M model is selected.

Besides being easy to set up and operate, the TSC Care Label Cutter supports print speeds up to 4 inches per second and has an industrial-strength rotary knife that can make two cuts per second without slowing down or pausing between cuts, maximizing production efficiency. Using TSC-approved media, the unit can easily print and cut 120 one-sided labels per second – more than 7,000 labels per hour – with the labels conveniently collected in the cutter’s catch tray.

Customers can choose from 203-dpi, 300-dpi and 600-dpi models, all of which come with a standard two-year warranty, the best in the industry. A high-resolution 300-dpi print head ensures crisp print quality on a broad range of fabric substrates and features a choice of fonts, care symbols and logos.

“When combined with one of our TTP-2410M Series label printers, the TSC Care Label Cutter is the perfect solution for the high-volume production of care labels, yet even with all of its performance features, it is still extremely affordable,” said David Lundeen, vice president of sales and marketing for TSC Auto ID Technology America. “TSC Care Label Cutter is another great example of the topnotch engineering found throughout the TSC product line.”
