Product Update: GS1 DataBar Products

The GS1 DataBar symbology is the latest barcode type for space-constrained identification from GS1 and is the only symbology approved by the GS1 for use in all retail checkout systems after January 1, 2010 to encode GTIN-14 numbers. DataBar is also required to be used for coupon barcodes by the Joint Industry Coupon Committee (JICC).
The following GS1 Databar products have been updated with an enhanced encoding method for the DataBar Expanded symbology.

Product Updates: Barcode Label Software



The Barcode Label Software is an advanced, easy to use, WYSIWYG bar code label printing software application that prints barcodes, text and graphics on standard laser or inkjet printers, in addition to labels on thermal transfer bar-code printers.
The newly released 2009 version includes improved compatibility for Windows Vista and Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2007 file format capability, serial number and constant VB script fields and other various performance improvements.
Additionally, this version of the label software runs from a single EXE file and is not dependant on the .NET Framework or the installation of any DLLs.
The Pro version now includes GS1 DataBar, Aztec and QR-Code barcode types as well as extended VB scripting capabilities.

Product Updates: Barcode Image Generators

New updates in this 2009 release include better support of GS1-128, Data Matrix and MaxiCode barcodes and various performance improvements. This professional grade application is used to easily create and paste barcodes into other Windows applications or generate high quality graphic image files. Commonly used with PhotoShop, Quark and Publisher. Command line options are also available for creating bar codes in DOS. Easy-to-use features include settings and properties of the barcode are retained for ease of use, images are easily copied to the clipboard with one click for quick pasting into other applications, and the image file names may be auto generated from the data of the barcode to save time.

New Product: RedBeam Inventory Tracking Software


RedBeam Inventory Tracking Software is inventory control software designed to help control inventory levels and item movements within a warehouse, a distribution center, stock room or store.

RedBeam Inventory Tracking comes in two editions, standard and mobile. The standard edition allows for data collection using barcode scanners attached to desktops or laptops. The mobile edition allows for data collection using cabled barcode scanners attached to PC workstations as well as the ability to collect data on scanner-enabled mobile computers.

If you have an active Priority Support agreement, log into the IDAutomation store and go to “Account” located in the upper right hand corner. On the Account screen, there will be a list of Recent Orders with a summary of what each order contains if there is more than one. Click on the "View Order" button of the order that contains the software to download. The download will be located under Digital Goods section of the online Invoice.

If the purchase was made prior to Dec 2005 through RegNow/Digital River, please contact us with your order ID number and we will send you the updated download link.
