IDAutomation.com, Inc. has released their new RFID Label Software, which is an advanced, easy to use, WYSIWYG RFID software application that encodes smart labels on RFID capable printers and prints barcodes, text and graphics. Supports Linear, GS1-DataBar, Composite and 2D barcodes including PDF417, DataMatrix ECC200, Aztec and QR-Code. Supports advanced VB Scripting capabilities and connectivity to comma delimited text, CSV, Excel, Access, SQL Server, ODBC and Oracle databases. Accurately prints ANSI and ISO compliant barcodes to labels on any graphics printer, including thermal printers. The entire application runs from a single EXE file and has no dependencies. Contains label stock templates for Avery, Herma, Zweckform and others. The download is fully functional and does not contain any limitations on the number of labels that are printed.

Version 2009 also supports Excel 2007 and Access 2007 XML file formats. The setup application includes a complete uninstaller. In addition, the entire program is provided as a single EXE file for simplicity and compatibility. The executable placed in the Program Files folder after installation runs independently and may be run from a USB thumb drive or other external device on another PC without requiring installation. This bar code label printing software supports the following linear symbologies: Telepen, EAN8, EAN13, EAN14, UPC-A, UPC-E, Interleaved 2of 5, ITF, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, UCC/EAN-128, MSI, Codabar, Planet & Postnet. In addition, the Pro version supports ECC-200 Data Matrix, PDF417, Maxicode, Aztec, QR-Code, MicroPDF, GS1 DataBar (RSS) and Composite.

IDAutomation.com, Inc. announces the release of their GS1 Databar ASP Barcode Component for IIS, which easily adds GS1 Databar barcode generation capability to webpages hosted on Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Server) through ASP (Active Server Pages). This server-side component creates GIF or JPG images in any application that can display a dynamic URL and is compatible with all web browsers. No temporary files are created on the server because the resulting barcode image is sent directly to the browser as a base-256 binary stream, which results in faster and efficient performance.

Copying just three files to the virtual directory where barcodes are required completes easy installation of the GS1 Databar ASP Barcode Component for IIS. This is a 100% managed code product created in Visual C# .NET with strong name signatures and signed DLLs. Several DataBar barcode types are supported in a single control and meet ITS (International Technical Standard) GS1 DataBar Specification including DataBar Omnidirectional, DataBar Truncated, Stacked, Stacked Omnidirectional, Limited, Expanded, Expanded Stacked, Composite, PDF417, MicroPDF417, UPC/EAN, GS1-128 and Code 128. Product Update: Code 128 Font Advantage Package

The Code 128 Font Advantage Package has been updated with improved Unicode compatibility and new digitally signed TrueType, OpenType and PostScript fonts. The new fonts, when used with a feature level 10 or greater font encoder, can display human readable text interpretations without showing the check character. The font also shows human readable text in auto mode and when switching character sets. Additionally, GS1-128 AIs may be easily encoded with the parentheses or tilde methods and are also visible in the human readable version. Complete backward compatibility is also included for support of previously used encoding methods.

Seagull Releases Service Release for BarTender 9.1

The first service release ("SR1") of BarTender 9.1 was released as build 2617 on July 20th, 2009.

•	Translations of New Features: Many new features that originally shipped with English-only user-interfaces in BarTender 9.1 have now been translated into all 23 languages supported by the BarTender Label Management Suite.
•	System Database Support for SQL 2008: The BarTender System database used in the Enterprise editions now supports SQL Server 2008 in addition to SQL Server 2005.
•	Version Number Displayed within Setup Manager: When you insert a BarTender CD into your CD drive and the Setup Manager automatically runs, the opening screen will now display the BarTender version number.
•	Minor Bugs: A few minor bugs were also repaired with this service release.

Barcode Software Update: TBarCode V9.3.0

As of today an update of the TBarCode Barcode SDK (including a Barcode ActiveX, Barcode DLL and .NET Barcode Assembly) is available. It fixes some problems and provides several improvements:

Fixed

• GS1 Data Matrix: Fixed FNC1 encoding bug (see V9.2.2).
• BCGetBarcodeHeight(..) returned incorrect value with rotation of 270°.
• TBarCode .NET: ByteData property (encoding of binary data) produced an error.
• TBarCode .NET: Licensing problems caused by incorrect product enumeration IDs (32-bit and 64-bit).

Enhancements

• Improved error message for incorrect user provided check digits.
• Improved description of the Data Matrix enumeration values (TBarCode Library Reference).
